Baby hates gripe water

Anyone else’s baby hate gripe water? He seems to be pretty gassy and this is the first thing I’m trying since I haven’t been able to identify any foods that may be causing the gas. Tried giving him gripe water last night and he absolutely hated it. Anyone have any tips to get him to take it? He’s EBF btw...

Yep ours hated it too. And gas drops actually seemed to make things worse. We went though a bout of colic from 8-13 weeks and it was rough. Heat helps a lot .

I’d put a little milk in the syringe

You can put it in the pumped milk or formula. That's what we did before but then he started to like it as it is. I also use aizara gaspasser, it helps him tremendously with gases and poop. Our Dr explained that the muscles that move poop in the intestine are not developed he. He suggested to use q-tips or gas passer.

You can also give him hot water like 6oz if he is older than 6months of age. It will help pass the gas out and help him poop. As far the gripe water you can try the nighttime one. I think it might taste differently

Make sure the milk is hot. U can lay him flat on his back and rotate his legs like a bicycle. That's for help with gas pain and allow him to pass gas

He’s only five weeks old so unfortunately can’t do water. I may just end up pumping a bit and putting some in a bottle before bed but he hasn’t taken a bottle yet so we’ll see how that goes...

What brand do you use? I'm not sure if they all pretty much taste the same, but we use Mommy's Bliss. My daughter really likes it.

There, I think it was the link. Anyway, i've never heard of the dr chase one. I can taste the ginger in Mommy's Bliss. It tastes good. Maybe you can make some at home? I also found that tea on Amazon. I've never tried it, but I just ordered their teething tea. You can also try Chamomile tea. It works great for colic and tummy troubles. I buy the organic kind for my daughter. She's 5 months.
