Breast Pumping to induce labor?

I got a question about Breast pumping to induce labor. I heard that Breast pumping early can induce early labor. So I wondering if I wait until my baby is fully developed hopefully 35 weeks and the doc give the go ahead to breast pump is it ok or should I wait? I would also like to make sure my milk comes in before baby is born and have some bags of milk ready encase I can’t get a good latch. Plus I’d like to feed my baby mostly mommy milk because it’s really healthy and not any formula. Also I’m wondering if anyone actually tried induce labor through Breast pumping and is this common?

35 weeks is preterm. 37 weeks is term and 39 weeks is full term. You should wait until you’re full term and that’s only if your doctor allows it. You’ll only be able to get colostrum. Your body won’t produce milk until birth, as the placenta detaching sends a signal to the brain to begin the switch from colostrum to milk. It usually comes in on day 3-4.

I’m 35 and some change.. I started to pump (with approval of doc) and I got a OZ total today. Some contractions but will do it again later tonight . I tend to go early as it is with my kids, so I already had the steroid shots for my baby lungs over a week ago. It’s your personal choice. No one else’s.. I also use a yoga ball for hip rotating and bouncing for the cervix .

35 weeks is preterm which means your baby could be in the nicu. Why would you want that? Just wait until you’re full term then discuss options with your doctor

Your milk won’t come in until after baby is born and your baby doesn’t need it to until it does.  You probably wouldn’t get more than a few drops anyway.  Basically, pumping while pregnant will not do much other than give you some cramps and sore nipples.

Why don’t you just wait until baby is ready to come? Don’t force your child to come out. Let them come out when they’re done cooking and ready.

Really bad idea! You shouldn’t pump until baby is born. Your milk also shouldn’t come in until baby is born. Lastly, your first couple of days when baby is born isn’t milk yet; it’s colostrum and that is literally the most important thing for your baby. It’s far more important than milk right away. If you pump all the colostrum away, baby won’t get any.
