Ethical dilemma I hope you guys could weigh in on. Every year I go to teach in Ghana as a volunteer surgeon.

The dates for going are in April. I just found out two weeks ago that I am pregnant and would be about 4 months along when I would need to go. Ghana is Not Zika free and the CDC advises against pregnant women travel there.

This is my first pregnancy and I asked my PCP if she thinks I could travel there, she didn't think it was completely out of the question. I have yet to meet an OB, but am questioning my sanity. I never want to go because of a professional obligation and run the risk of harming my baby. What would you do?
