Can OPK detect hcg? 🤔

Good Morning Ladies!
I read somewhere that OPK can detect pregnancy but I’m wondering if that was true for anyone here. I am having trouble with my CVS brand pregnancy tests (unsure if I have line eyes or the test is faulty) so I decided to use one of my OPK sticks just to see what happened (see both below). I will definitely go purchase a better brand pregnancy test but was curious if this could be a positive?

I hate those pregnancy tests. I got a blaring positive on one just to NOT be pregnant.

LH and hCG are molecularly similar so an opk will pick up hCG as LH. The only thing with using opks as pregnancy predictors is possibly being disappointed bc you will also get another LH surge to bring on your period if you are not pregnant. I would def retest with another hpt tho, something is going on with yours to have some sort of a line, and that can only happen in the presence of hCG. Good luck & fingers crossed!
