Babys born!

Literally just 3 hours ago ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

I went into the hospital around 9/10 PM Sunday night after having contractions all day started timing them from 7 in the morning.

They weren't strong but they were very consistant and throughout the day they got stronger and stronger so I called the doctor and he said it sounds like labor, to come on in so they could see what was going on.

Well I came in after I called (maybe 9:30 PM) and the nurse checked me. She didnt think I twist that close yet and they were thinking about it sending me home but the first two times they had checked my blood pressure it was really high. (That being said I was psyching myself out the entire time completely terrified of what was going on.) So with the blood pressure high and me being 40 weeks 6 days they decided to just admit me. I was 2 cm dilated at the time (I was scheduled for an induction on the 6th anyways)

Around 2 am the contractions started getting painful and they gave me an IV of a pain killer. I slept a little and it wore off about 3 hours later so they gave me another one.

Around 7 they changed shifts and this new nurse was at first a little snippy. When the pain killers wore off they told me the next thing they can give was the epidural but I decided to wait since I was only 3 CM dilated and I didnt want to be stuck not moving so early (around 9).

Then around 11 I told her that I'm ready for it but she straight out said that I wasnt ready because I was still talking through my contractions. Yes they hurt like hell but i try not to let pain really get to me. I call her again around 12:15 and told her I'm ready again. She said ok, thank the lord. At 12:27 the anesthesiologist still hadn't arrived and my SO and I heard a little pop. I froze. It felt like someone had kicked me in the wrong place. It didnt hurt just shocked me. Then liquid started pouring out. I told the nurse and she checked said there was a little meconium. When I heard that I got terrified because the whole time I was pregnant I only heard horror stories about it. But she said it wasnt the bad meconium and that it's common when you're over due. I was finally given the epidural and lord it saved my life. I was getting very strong contractions ever 2 -3 minutes but I was only dilated to a 5 so I had alot of time left. Skip to 8 o'clock and they checked again.. 7 cms.. then they put the pitocin again (I had it earlier due to not too consistant contractions) but then I ended up getting really strong ones and really close together which wasnt letting baby breathe.

At 1 AM February 5th I got checked again and I was finally at 9 cms. I was so tired I hadn't slept in almost 48 hours so I took a tiny nap. Woke up at 3:15 with horrible pains in my back and alot of pressure so we called the nurse in and she went to check, barley got a figure inside when she said she felt the head.

The doctor came and and set up. I pushed through no more then 7 or 8 contractions a d baby was out! She did have her cord wrapped around her neck tightly and then her body as well but they got it off got her resuscitated and now very healthy ๐Ÿ˜

No tearing at all my little girl weighing 7.1 lbs born at 41 weeks and 1 day at 4:07 AM February 5th ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
