Was the excitement of getting married ruined for you?

So many people say that you shouldn’t do “married couple” type things before you’re married because it won’t be exciting once you actually get married. Stuff like living together, etc. so was it ruined for you?

I’d NEVER get married to someone I hadn’t lived with, there’s a totally different version of person of someone you meet when you live with them lol. This can be great or not so great, so no I personally don’t believe any excitement is ruined at all.

That seems like such a dumb logic. I live with my fiance, we grocery shop together, we go on hiking adventures together, work out together, and just live life together day by day. I'm actually PROUD that my wedding will be an exciting day, yet literally NOTHING will change in our lives after the fact. Were already so happy together and a wedding wont ruin that at all. I'll just get to call him my husband and continue to live together happily and work towards a happier, successful future

I live with my guy. We live like we are married. Shared money, cars, shopping together, dishes, taxes, Christmas, things to do and it feels more married than when I was married to my ex husband of ten years. It won't matter when once we get married. Just more legal things. Its A great life together and that's what we want.
