If you had the Foley bulb put in, what were the results and how long did it stay in?

Being induced today but first they’re going to try to dilate me more with the Foley and then put me on pitocin

Are there other methods of ‘forced dilation’ that don’t require the balloon?

I went from not quite 1 centimeter to 4 in the 6ish hours mine was in. It was uncomfortable but I was able to sleep through some of it after they gave me a peanut ball. They started me on pitocin at 8 and my little boy was born at 7:47 that night! The Foley bulb was totally worth it in my opinion.

They put mine in at barely 1cm at 2am and it came out when the nurse tugged on it at 7:30am. Then pitocin and insane contractions all day until I was fully dilated at 10pm that night!

Took 12 hours to go from 1-3 for me!

Mine was only in for 4 hours but they told me they usually stay in for 12 hours or so.

I had mine in for about 15 minutes lol. I went from barely 1cm to 4cm. And then stayed there for like 25 hours and had to have a c section haha. Good luck with your induction!
