Anxiety over work baby shower
So my work is planning a last minute baby shower for me and it is giving me major anxiety. They originally wanted to schedule it for when I’m 39 weeks, but I couldn’t do it that day so it’s happening next week when I’m 38 weeks.
My work is very solitary. I only work in the office one day a week and most of my coworkers do the same. So even when I’m in the office, I don’t see many people. The rest of the time I work from home and only communicate by email.
Anyway, one of my coworkers emailed me today about planning a baby shower. It seems super last minute because I told them I was pregnant in September. Also I’ve been having a hard time with my manager and his expectations while I’m pregnant. So I kind of don’t want to have this baby shower with people I don’t really know and a manager I don’t get along with. It’s giving me so much anxiety, I don’t even want to open the email invite that was sent out. Any tips on how to get through it?
