Period during PE?

Basically tomorrow I have PE, and my periods late (I’m not pregnant, I’m a virgin) by 2 days. I have swimming and I’m pretty new to periods so I think it’s normal to be late or early. So I’m
1. Scared that my period will start in the pool and I won’t be able to change into a tampon because I’ve never worn one.
2. Scared to tell my teacher because no other kids haven’t started theirs and they’ll laugh at me ask me questions. Some people know but they’re private, the girls in my class will tell everyone!
So what do I do?

I would tell your mum to write a note to the teacher to tell that that you can’t do the sport activity or tell a teacher that you trust. It’s nothing to be ashamed everyone will get it sooner or later, when I was 12 I was scared too

Also if you bleed a little in the pool nobody would notice just bring a dark towel and dark swim suit

Try to visit the nurse before you go to PE she will help you and maybe even give you a note out of it, my nurse did that and all I had to do was write an essay to make up for the unit (our swim unit was one week and I bled the whole time)

Tell a female teacher that you like. They won’t tell any other children. Also periods aren’t anything to be embarrassed about. I know it doesn’t seem like it now but when you’re older you’ll look back and laugh about how much of a big deal you kids make of it. 
I’d say bring a note from home if you can, or see how you get on the next morning. If you have no sign of it then I’d just go ahead and go swimming. If you’re not sure and it makes you uncomfortable then skip out. Anyone asks say you feel unwell. Hope this helps!

UPDATE: I brought a tampon to school and went swimming, and I was fine.

Whisper in your teachers ear you shouldn’t be ashamed of your body every girl goes through it just think of it as this would you rather be public ally humiliated by risking the chance it may come on in the pool or telling the teacher and they will understand and be safe.
