First period experience?

What was your experience or reaction to your first period? I started at 11 years old. I was over at my grandmother’s house and worst of all, there were guests over. My mom wasn’t there because my parents are divorced and my father married my step mom. I was heading to the bathroom and I did my business. When I wiped, I saw a brownish and red on the toilet paper. I was scared shitless out of my pants so I called over my step mom. She said, “what’s going on?” and I told her what happened. She told me to show her and I awkwardly did. I was pretty dramatic and I thought I was going to die. I kept telling her “what’s going on?!” and “what do I do?!”. She just stared at me, giving the facial expression “you are so screwed” and then she said, “get a pad right now”. I didn’t know where the pads were so she gave me one. I told her, “why are you giving me a diaper?”. She told me with a stern face, “wear it”. And she just left the bathroom. The pads felt uncomfortable and I felt moody so I called my biological mom to pick me up (I live with her). I told her how I got my period and she just screamed at me saying, “ARE YOU WEARING A PAD??!!!” and the story ends there guys. What were your first periods like?
