Hi everyone,

This yea I’m going to college. I got accepted to Wake Forest University but the financial aid I recurved wasn’t a high as me and my family hoped for. Right now my family is having some financial difficulties. My father is unemployed at the moment and my grandma is really sick. My mother also has to provide for my little and big sister, so she doesn’t have an abundance of money to spend towards my tuition. I’ve worked really hard my entire high school career maintaining a 3.8 GPA average, doing over 80 hours of community service, participating in many extracurriculars: piano, dance, theater, choir and etc, taken college classes(Political Ethics), and I have never had any disciplinary issues. My parents are thinking of not letting me go to a college I’ve worked extremely hard to get into and one that I feel like I can do great in. I want to make a GoFundMe account, but I’m not sure if it will be as effective as I need it to be. My goal is $15,000, which is a lot. I wanted to know if any of you have any advice that could help my GoFundMe actually be successful?
