I was talking to my fiancé about my views on how I want to discipline our kids. I’ve never been fond of hitting kids. I’ve seen too many people get outta hand and hit their kids for the dumbest of shit. Not my business I guess? Not here to judge, but for me personally I don’t see myself hitting my kids. Maybe a pop if they really need to understand something talking isn’t doing but even then idk we’ll see when the time comes. His whole family used to beat the shit out of him. He tells me all the time, about the awful most times pointless beatings they gave him. I told him I don’t want anyone but else to discipline our kids. And he was like “well if they go with my family then..” and I said “then they’re not going, my child will not be physically punished by anyone but their parents period.” And he got all uncomfortable and visibly agitated. Why in the hell do you wan the people you constantly tell me abused you to put their hands on my child? I’m honestly glad we had this talk before tiny humans are actually involved. It just rubbed me the wrong way. Idk, I tried to open myself up to his perspective, but I’m sorry hell nah. Period. So who’s allowed to whoop your kids if anyone?
