Irritable uterus

I’ve been dealing with daily, often hourly, Braxton Hicks (or tightening of the lower uterus). I’m only 23 weeks. This happened with my last pregnancy but much later on. My doctor has mentioned medication but I’m struggling with if that is really necessary.

I try all the best practices (i.e. drinking water, laying down, deep breathing, empty bladder, etc) but they’re pretty much always with me. It’s been this way for a few weeks.

Oh no!! I can’t imagine already having contractions. Since you posted on the holistic board, I should ask... are you drinking red raspberry leaf tea? I just read an article the other day that women with irritable uteruses should NOT drink the tea because it makes the symptoms worse. 😱 So if you are, definitely stop and see if that helps. Hope you’re able to find some relief!

A borderline hot bath helped me a lot with mine. I would also add this lavender smelling bath/massage oil to help me relax me.
