I recently lost my dad and on top of that I’m just all over the place and not myself.. I’m so ready to have my baby. I’m losing myself😭😭 I don’t feel like ME anymore and it’s killing me.. is there a such thing as pre post postpartum depression?

Depression can come at any time due to big life events like a death in the family. I lost my dad almost a year ago and it's been difficult working through that on top of normal life and pregnancy hormones. Just know that grief is something that comes and goes, it's a process. Make sure to commit your feelings with your family and doctor so that they can help you keep on the lookout for warning signs of postpartum depression. The fact that you are aware that you aren't feeling like yourself is a very positive thing. I recommend seeing a counselor or if you aren't able to do that start a journal. It's surprising therapeutic getting those feelings out on paper. Good luck mamma ❤️
