Can you ask them to test her?? From what I understand herpes is manageable and people are able to live and thrive with it. If you're concerned about your daughter definitely talk to both of your doctors!

How the hell do you live knowing you have herpes? Especially genital herpes? I gave birth to my daughter 7 weeks ago and I'm over here panicking thinking she has caught my genital herpes I have had it for a few years but when i was pregnant with her they did a culture and my test came back negative but if she would of got my herpes at birth wouldn't she already have signs of it? Please give me information so I can stop panicking

You live by knowing 90% of Americans have a form of this.. it is not an end all be all.. and if you didn’t have a flare while giving birth the likely hood of the baby having it are very slim! Everything will be ok!! It’s a treatable disease! My mother has genital herpes and was actually suicidal about it! But my sister and I came out fine! Without any issues to this day! I’m 25 and my sister is 23.. life goes on, everyone experiences obstacles to some magnitude... it’s ok!!
