Who’s husbands want to touch their bellies?

Maybe it’s just me but I really thought that during pregnancy my husband would be all about it. I’m 23 weeks 4 days and it’s our first.  I ask my husband continuously if he wants to feel the baby kick, he says “right now?” And doesn’t want to get out of his recliner. Even when we’re laying in bed he doesn’t care to feel her move. For some reason it completely breaks my heart that he doesn’t really care to feel her, maybe I just assumed he’d be more excited. Makes me feel like crap.. 
Does anyone else’s husbands act this way?

My boyfriend (who I started dating  after I found out I was pregnant, so it’s not biologically his) rubs my belly and try’s to feel the baby all the time. When he kisses me he kisses my belly too. Maybe it’s just different in every guy 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mine did the first pregnancy and is the second as well for the most part. I know it hurts you're feelings but it is not about that at all for him and he may not even understand that side of it.  From what I read up on about it is that they tend to get more attached after the baby has come as with us we feel the baby all the time. Know the emotional side and just in general have a strong connection to the baby right away. Do not take it personally. He is most likely not even realizing he does it. It's not that he does not love you or the baby just that for him most likely it's not as easy to understand the connection since the baby is not constantly a part of every single moment he makes and might freak him out a little to start but that part will pass more and more. Just breath and think of how it must be for him or how you were with someone else you knew who was pregnant.

My husband felt a time or two with our first but he said it sort of freaked him out because it reminded him of the Alien movies 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ I wasn’t offended by it though.. I understand that feeling someone else’s belly move could be weird. He would come up and kiss my belly from time to time or rub it for a split second but he didn’t enjoy feeling the kicks and that’s okay. I firmly believe men have a harder time “connecting” until baby is born. Not all, of course.

My husband is the opposite when laying in bed, he always has his hand on my belly even in the very beginning which made me uncomfortable. Now if hes watching tv in his recliner he doesnt really do it I just tell him to talk to the baby lol

My husband will notice my bump when I'm showering or changing clothes and he just comes over to me and holds my belly and goes "awww" or he fangirls about how pregnant I look. He's skeptical about feeling any movement though since I'm only 17w5d. He probably thinks it's just a bubbly stomach.

In the beginning I had to ask him to rub my belly. Now I’m almost 15 weeks and he just recently started to touch it and kiss it. But not as often as I would like to. We bought a book for expecting fathers, he hasn’t even touched it and it makes me so angry and upset. I caught myself nagging to read the damn book and decided to stop completely. I’ll just throw it away and be done with it. I think they need time. And I try to remind myself that he’s experiencing this differently. I know it hurts but it will get better. We are connected to our babies since conception so we feel a strong bond since day 1 unlike their daddies who need a bit more
