Started the pill now I’m emotional :(

So I started the pill 3 days ago, I’m not exactly sure on the side effects. I’ve been getting cramps and I’ve been super moody and emotional, I cry over everything. These mood swings haven’t happened to me in a long time. Could it be a pill side effect?
