My baby girl is 3 weeks old and this whole time we have struggled to breastfeed. She had a tongue tie, so i was only able to use a shield and bottle feed her my pumped milk. A week ago we got her tongue tie revised so she could latch better.. after a few days she latches pretty well id say. My question is WHY DOES IT STILL HURT? Some people have said to just "toughen up my nipples"

My nipples just feel raw when shes done eating. It doesnt hurt during anymore and theres no chomping and pinching like before.. but my nipples are getting so dry and raw feeling. Is this normal? Will it get easier?
