Not even doing a nursery...is that bad?!

Question

My son is 6 months old and I am 20 weeks pregnant. I’m not setting up a new room I’m just going to put another crib in the nursery...is that terrible?  We have two extra rooms but im like eh when my son is old enough I’ll move him out and then the baby will have his nursery...
I don’t feel bad about it but someone made a remark about it...

Hah not bad AT ALL. Why waste the energy when you have so little during pregnancy?

I’m doing the exacttttt thing! Our first will be 14 months when this one is born and this one will be in our bedroom for at least the first 6 months so then at that point we are putting baby number 2 in the 1st nursery and setting up a “older” toddler room in our empty spare bedroom for our first born. I just don’t see the sense in buying all new stuff when we can just use what we have....

Not at all. If our 2nd baby is a boy we wont be doing another nursery. Just putting a crib in our sons room and eventually theyll share bunk beds. If its a girl though we will do another nursery.

We did not do a nursery for my 2nd and aren’t for our 3rd. 1st & 2nd are in the same room, this baby will be in our room and then when we move her she’ll go in with her sisters. Their room is massive and it’s such a waste of space to separate them.

I never had any nurseries for my kids (although it would be nice) I might with this baby but she won’t have her own room as a nursery she will have to share a room with me but have a cute little nursery section tho :)

Nope we’re not either. Having our second daughter in June and big sis will be 2.5. We plan on putting the crib in our spare bedroom and using the dressers from the set in there for the new baby. The furniture is all white so it matches nicely. Our 2.5 year old will get a new toddler bed. 
We only have one “spare” room now so this way we can still keep the queen bed in there for when we have company. We also just built our house 3 years ago and put a lot of effort into picking everything out. Not about to repaint etc.

We were going to get a bigger place and do a nursery for him but I don’t think so anymore. There’s no use? For us at least! He’s going to sleep in our room anyway until he’s 6+ months so if we sign another 12 month lease that’s just 4 extra months he’d have to stay in with us. Then we will probably go to something bigger. Just seems more practical to save money during his first year when I’m not gonna want him to leave my sight anyway 😊
