Anyone set up an email account for their LO?

Question

So some people have been setting up email accounts for their children and sending messages, photos, videos etc to that account that they will have access to when they turn 18. 
Is anyone planning on doing this or have they actually started doing this? Just thinking it's a lovely idea but not sure it'll work 🤔

Nope because that kinda stuff can be hacked so the less of my kids online the better . I’ve only posted a few pictures on here and that’s it.

I did. He’s 4 months, I’ve sent a couple emails to document his milestones and such. So much easier than trying to write it down. This way it won’t get lost or misplaces like a baby boom.

I did. My son is 20 months. I mainly documented his first year. Every 3 months I sent an email with pictures that I took. I sent all my belly pictures from when I was pregnant. I sent our announcements pictures. I sent his newborn pictures. I sent pictures from most holidays. I sent pictures from his 1st birthday. Now that he’s over a year I will probably just do a few emails here and there. Probably one for his birthday each year and one that just has miscellaneous pictures from the year. It’s too hard to keep all the pictures in my phone. So creating an email allowed for me to delete some stuff from my phone but know I’ll have them forever and so will he. I can’t wait until he’s older and I can show him everything.

My mom did it for me and my siblings! We’d email friends and family back and forth on the computer instead of social media. I didn’t have any social media until I was allowed a phone.
