Are the parents doing the right thing?
Below are a few pictures of a parents protest that has been going on for a few months.
Long story short. Their child’s life was threatened at school by another child. There were racial slurs made. The child who made the threats told the school it got taken out of context and it was a joke. The parent of the child that’s life was threatened did not think it was a joke, neither did their child. The child who made the threats was not punished accordingly in the eyes of the child that was threatened. They were only given a day of detention. The parent of the child who was threatened believes they should be expelled bcs their child does not feel safe. A meeting with the principals were held where again they said it was a joke.
The parents of the child that was threatened removed their child from the school and has been protesting out side of the school since (1+ months).
