Doctor’s appointment
I’m already overweight. Not by just a few pounds, I’m talking A LOT. Anyway, I’m 31 weeks today. I went to the doctor yesterday just for my check up. Everything is perfectly fine. But he jumped on my case for losing 4 pounds. He asked me why I’m losing. I really don’t know. I eat. I don’t sit down and eat huge meals all day but I do eat until I’m full and don’t over stuff myself and I eat when I’m hungry. It’s usually 4-5 small meals a day, but I eat a lot of fruit too. I’ve never been a breakfast person, plus I’m on medicine that I take every morning because I have no gallbladder and it helps with the bathroom issue. So I have to wait a couple of hours after taking that to even eat, which is fine because most of the time, I’m ready to eat by then. So it works out fine for me. I get up early because I have to get my oldest ready for school. But the days I’m able to sleep in, I’m still up by 8 because my son wakes up early. So it’s not like I sleep all day and not eat.
When I was pregnant with my son, I had the same doctor. He jumped my case for gaining weight. I gained 11 pounds my whole pregnancy and my son weighed 9 pounds 11 ounces.
The baby is healthy, he’s active, and everything is measuring on time.
I feel like I’m damned if I do, damned if I don’t. 🤷♀️
