Success with Zoloft?

Hello, my doctor recommends I begin taking Zoloft for the intense 24/7 anxiety I’ve been having for the last three weeks.  My sweet baby is 8 weeks. Any success stories with Zoloft? Anyone noticed a change with their breastfed infant? Thanks!

Zoloft literally saved my life post partum. I was an anxious, ragey mess. It made me a more calm, capable mother. It takes about a month but once it kicks in you will feel like your old self. My son is 5 now, no side effects whatsoever for him. You got this mama. It gets easier!

I was on it for several years. It was amazing and helped me a lot. Just make sure you’re open with your doctor, there are lots of different meds and cocktails and doses they play around with to find the perfect mix/amount for you.

Started it at 3 months for ante partum anxiety. Took a bit of time to find the right dose but OMG it’s wonderful.

Not for postpartum, but I had success with it for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder in which I took it the two weeks before my period. It did help with my anxiety, which was my big issue. Generally, they start you on the lowest dose and go from there, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t feel like it’s working and be honest with your doctor if it’s not so they can adjust.
