How often does baby poop?

Baby is 7weeks this week and is slowing down frequency of pooping from what felt like 5x per day to 2-3x per day. She is exclusively breastfed. 
Wanting to make sure this sounds normal!

Yep! Totally normal! My pediatrician said a breastfed baby can go up to 7 days without pooping.

My EBF baby pooped every few days up until week 8 and now she poops daily. I don’t know...i think there’s a huge range of what’s normal!

We had like 7 at first and now we get 1-2 per day. Sometimes go a day without.

My LO is 6 weeks and some days doesn’t poop at all and other days it’s 1-2 times. He is formula and breastfed. He’s been like that since about 2 weeks old. We’re moving to only formula as I just don’t produce enough so I don’t know how that will change things!

Mine poops once every other day. Our doctor said that is perfectly fine too.

I think breast fed babies can be all over the shop from what I heard... ranging from every feed to once every almost 7 days all of which is normal for your baby... I think the idea is not frequency but consistency of the poop that should be focused on colour, how it comes out (formed, watery etc) and obviously if it causes them any distress when they go

Yep, our ped said don’t worry until 10 days for a breastfed baby. He also said if you get too worried, take a rectal temperature & the baby is almost guaranteed to poop. Mine averages about 1 poop every 3 days at 2 months old.

Mine poop every few days, all normal! Peds said as long as it’s runny and not hard it’s healthy
