Is it normal for mucus plug to come out all day

So for the last 2 and a half weeks maybe once a day I will have a glob. Well today it comes out in pretty decent amounts every time I use the restroom, literally!! anyone else experiencing this? Should I tell the doctor on call? Or wait for labor to start. I’m 39 weeks and 2 days
