Is 15 an appropiate age to start having sex?

I‘ve been dating the guy for a year now and I am really in love with him. We are planning to do it on Valentine‘s Day. 
P.S : We‘re going to use condoms.

I had my first time when I was 18 because I didn't feel ready before that and guess what! I wasn't ready at 18 either. I couldn't relax, the sex was awful and I bled and felt sore the next day

I agree with everyone here if you have to ask you probably aren’t. Also though I feel you should know my first time was 6-8 months ago and I’m 16 and it was actually pretty good. Not awkward, we laughed a bit and he was very nice and made me comfortable and so it was only a little painful at first. I was never in a relationship with him(ik ik “it should be about love”) but I was ready and we had sex for about 5 months after that. He’s not the best friend I could ask for now but I definitely don’t regret it because I was comfortable and did enjoy myself. Then again I knew for sure I was ready so that’s the main thing don’t do it for him and don’t try to convince you’re ready bc then you won’t be able to laugh off the awkward parts and enjoy the good ones.

I did it at 15 but if I could go back, I would wait. However, if you're going to do it, make sure you take your time, do lots of foreplay, communicate during the whole time and use protection. Also for your vaginal health and to help prevent pregnancy, be sure to use a condom safe lubricant. Using a lubricant is very important because if you're not wet enough, it will be very painful during and after sex. You will also tear your vaginal walls which can cause scar tissue(will decrease pleasure for future sex which means you will less likely orgasm through penetration), can lead to infection and make you more susceptible to STDs. Another thing, be sure you both pee afterwards to help prevent UTIs. 
I'm not encouraging it by any means but you're going to do it no matter what we tell you. I just hope you're safe about and know that you don't have to do it.

I lost my virginity at 13 & I’m totally fine. But I did grow up around older sisters and me and my mom are pretty close so I was very educated and ready.

Its about being ready. I was really young when i lost my virginity, but I was very mature for my age. I educated myself fully, talked to my parents, got on birth control, made sure my boyfriend was educated,  and i explored my body. Educating is so important, but it's also about being emotionally and mentally ready. Are you and your partner mentally perpared for sex? There are so many things to keep in mind.
