okay not ttc but a massive work issue (UK) i need some advice from someone who knows what they're talking about please!!!!!
okay so i'm in the uk, i work in a call centre
so last december i went through a miscarriage and had just under a week off work.. (i was honest with my boss and told her)
well from them (becuase i'd just started i was still on my probation)
wel since then i've been basically being watched like a hawk. on my 'final warning' and can't have anymore time off ill.....
so i haven't. no matter if i have been truley ill i haven't had a single day off..
wel today at work i got s cal than my nan has collapsed in the town centre and had been taken to hospital..... i left work instantly and went to be with my man of course
i have now been told that because of this i could be at risk of loosing my job? because i was on a final warning to have no more time off..... but i wasn't ill?! it was an emergency?! surely they give you bereavement time for stuff like this!!!
what if that had been my child??? could i have not gone to the hospital?!
my question is..... can they truley sack me or get rid of me for this? for the fact i left work because my nan had collapsed and been taken to hospital?
