For those that have a kid without dad

So my oldest is 13. He will be 14 in July. I was 19 whenever I got pregnant. It was my first semester and I knew whenever I was only 5 weeks. I was on birth control but I just knew and took test and was. I confronted the guy at campus and he said take care of it. He was here on football(soccer) scholarship in the states and wasn’t interested. I “took care of it”. I never saw him again nor talked to him. I carried and delivered and proud to be the mother to my angel which saved my life.

Fast forward to today. He’s struggling. He wants to know why his dad doesn’t want him. I’ve been open and honest with him since he was about 5. Now it’s constant complaining and depression.

I explain that I don’t know him and he is probably back in Germany. He wanted an abortion. Some don’t have a mom and some don’t have a dad and some don’t have either. I consider myself a great mother and this is a struggle that really has me down lately.

I pray about it daily.
