Should I switch?

Just got word my hospital is now allowing midwifes to have privileges there... I really like my OB but she's a busy girl. Long wait times. I feel bad leaving.

Do what suits you. If you’d prefer midwife care, go for it. I’m doing midwife led care (Ireland) and it’s wonderful so far. You’re seen at your appointment time which is great. And there’s plenty of studies supporting midwife led care over OB led care. If you’re in any ‘danger’ an OB would be called anyway so best of both worlds

There is one doctor at the hospital I just do not want to deliver my baby so if he’s on call I’m asking for a midwife.

I had a midwife with my first two and a OB this time. Let me tell you! If i cud switch cuz midwives were now available at this new hospital , id do it in a heart beat! My OB is very nice BUT the care my midwife gave me was a much more enjoyable experience. My appts were never rushed, i asked many questions. (I still remained aware of our time cuz didnt want to over do it)lol. Im not used to these 3 minute appts and feel like i only have room for 1 question. Its not my 1st baby but still.... :/ I vote midwife! :)
