It depends on your ex and what actions caused you two to break up. 
Like my ex that I dated for 2 years cheated, emotionally abused me and manipulated me and I always got back with him and it was always a toxic relationship. 
The guy I’m currently with, we broke up a few months after we started dating. Only broke up for a week and got back together and it’s been great ever since. He’s the guy I see my life with and I don’t want to go through life with anyone else. 
It depends on the people and the circumstances.

Yep and then a week before we were buying our house - I left. Never shed a tear and still haven’t years later. Months after leaving I met the most incredible man and now we’re engaged and looking forward to forever ❤️

Dated my current man in high school, we both weren’t ready to be “serious” aka still flirting with other people, doing things knowing it would hurt each other.. all that good stuff lol then we broke up because we just weren’t ready but we were tired of being hurt by each other. Then we graduated and kinda fell back in with each other and now we’re finally serious and respect each other and it’s been amazing. We’re engaged and love each other every day
