Femera without period

I don’t have regular periods at all. My first cycle on femera they induced my period with provera and then after that they told me to just take the femera and they didn’t induce a period . I did two cycles without a period . Then I took a break from trying because I had a lot going on. 3 months later I’m back on femer and my doctor said he wasn’t going to induce my period and that I can just start taking femera today. Is that normal ?
