I was talking to this guy for about a month then we got together and he was my boyfriend. We went on a cute date to the cinema and he asked me out and it was really sweet. When I got home my phone was pinging from messages from him and I thought it would be fine and I could just open them in the morning. The next day I open these messages and it’s him telling me he’s not ready for a relationship and he can’t do this. He said he still would like us to talk like we used to. I left him on read as I was really upset, understandably. Then he has messaged me every day this week asking if we could talk. On Tuesday I told him I would message him back and I never did so I assumed he would get the message. He didn’t he has messaged me every day trying to get me to talk to him. I then get another message from him again saying ‘I’m sorry for what I said to you I still love you you know that I feel like such a dick I really want us to still talk’ i don’t know what to do because I still love him too but I know we could never have a proper relationship as he is ‘not ready’. My friends say to just leave him and ignore him he had his chance bit part of me wants to give it a go. What would you guys do? Also I’m good friends with his sister but she doesn’t know anything has happened between us he was super obsessed with his parents not knowing about us.
