IVF must haves?

Starting stims 2/23! What are some must haves that helped you through stims, retrevial, transfer? I just ordered a heating pad!

Get up and move after the in the muscle shots. If you do some squats, lunges, walking...anything...you won't get muscle knots. I did it through all my shots. No pain, bruising, or knots. My RE said it is the best thing to do but most women won't do it after the shots. Trust me..it makes a ton of difference.

Stims were all mental for me. The key was having a flexible job, supportive husband who gave me my IM trigger, because that one I couldn't bring myself to do myself, and 2 friends to talk to that understood what I was going through. The menopur was the only shot that I really hated, it stung really bad!! The side effects I had were headaches, extreme tiredness, and no appetite. I had to stop the metformin after 3 days because it made me so sick.
For the retrieval, again, supportive husband who took care of me. I wore my comfiest pajamas and some slipper socks, packed a bag with a change of clothes just in case. Brought a blanket for the ride home (I'm in northern Colorado). I was told salty foods/drinks are good for preventing OHSS, and I didn't get OHSS, so who knows. My husband got me a bunch of Gatorade, pretzels, and potato chips, and I had McDonald's once I could eat the day of the retrieval haha. Don't worry, I ate healthy stuff too lol. The heating pad was the single most important item to my comfort while I was healing for sure! It was a godsend!!! It took me about 3 days to move around without feeling it, and the bloating is just now going down over a week later as I'm about to start bloating for my period 🙄 Gearing up for our FET in April 🤞🤞🤞 Sending some baby dust your way!!!

A nice water bottle to stay super hydrated. A notebook to keep track of meds. A place to store meds(I got a nice basket). Panty liners (a serious must- some meds I had to take vaginally and you’ll need a liner). Heating pad helped so much but make sure you don’t use it once you have your transfer. ❤️

Support system! My in laws fed us once a week while we did our stims and it was super helpful because i was tired and my husband was a little overwhelmed at first. Heating pad and cold packs helped too to reduce swelling.
