Traveling by plane with a 1 year old. Any advice?

My sister who lives in a different state is getting married. We were going to make the trip driving (12 hrs) but do to work my husband can't make it. He didn't want me to make the trip by myself with my daughter. So I've booked a flight.

Does anyone have any advice on traveling with a baby? How do i keep her entertain. My daughter is usually very calm, but I don't think that she will sit still on my lap for two hours. I know I shouldn't care but I'm afraid of her getting upset or crying and us getting looks or head shakes from people. I recently saw comments on a Facebook post where someone said that you shouldn't travel with babies until they are older so that they don't bother other passengers. Maybe I'm overthinking.
