Knee replacement surgery?

Hi. So my dad is getting ready to have knee replacement surgery. I wasn't too worried about it until he sat me down to have the whole "if anything were to happen to me" talk. I know thousands of people get this surgery and it's not like heart surgery or something but now I'm starting to worry. I know he wasn't trying to freak me out, he's just being responsible but I'm officially wigged. Should I be worried?

He just wants to prepare you for the absolute worst, but with that being said, it’s very unlikely anything will go wrong during knee replacement surgery. He will be fine.🙂 Sending prayers for calm nerves and a fast recovery!

As long as he doesn't have other serious pre-existing medical conditions he should be fine. Which they should have checked him over in a pre-op appointment. Surgery is still surgery even if it's not heart surgery, you are put under anesthesia and a part of your body is opened; anything could happen
