Bf won’t call only text

My bf and I have been together for over two years and we go to diff colleges. I would always ft him but I stopped cuz I felt like he never would call me. And sometimes I’d call him and he’d be distracted by video games. I try to tell him u should call me and talk to me its not the same as texting all day. Am I wrong for just wanting to talk over the phone and hear his voice :( idk what more to do or what more to say
