My closet is attached to the master bathroom so I can't see it from bed. I leave it open all the time and my cat uses it as a hidey spot.
I think the last time I had the closet in a spot visible from bed I kept it closed at night.

My closet is not in my room, me and my 5 month old daughter have walk-in closet outside of our rooms and it doesn’t matter if doors are open or close🤷🏼‍♀️
