So my husband has been telling his boss that he would be taking a week off for the birth of our child. He had this talk back in the summer when he was hired and has been reminding his boss every couple of months about it ever since. His boss has told him from the beginning that he can use his PTO for his time that he is home with us and that he can "borrow" PTO so he can take the whole week. Pretty much he could use PTO that he hasn't earned yet and just "pay it back" as he earns it.

So now we are 37 weeks and can go any day now. My husband asked his boss about how he needed to apply for his PTO (because normally its just saved up for Christmas break when they shut the plant down for 3wks) to make sure he got it settled before hand. His boss had the audacity to tell him that he really needed to think about it and be sure that taking this time off right now was actually important to him because he would loose the valuable PTO hours that he should be saving up for Christmas break. Like this dickhead really just questioned if the birth of our first child was as important as Christmas 🤬🤬
