Whiny, clingy 1 year-old son... time to wean?

I love my son but today he’s been so cranky and clingy. I can’t put him down and he cries. I walk by him, he cries.

He hates the high chair now as of a week or so too, so I’ve been feeding him on my lap. I want to discipline him but it’s so hard to strap him into the high chair because he’s strong and fights it, plus he screams and cries bloody murder.

I’m still breastfeeding and I’m thinking I’m going to wean now. I’m giving him a bottle now.

He’s been getting over a cold now too so I think that has a lot to do with it. But I think it’s time to wean so he can rely on dad more. He literally reaches down my shirt to grab my nipple when he wants to feed. Gone are the less obvious signs... 😩
