Pain at the beginning of sex

When I was little (2 or 3)I had a thin layer of skin that would grow up over the opening of my vagina and the doctor gave my mom a cream to use on me and he said I would eventually grow out of it. When I started having sex, it was fine. But, now if I go a few weeks without having sex, its feels like I am tearing when my husband enters me.It hurts and burns. It only last maybe 2 minutes but when we are finished, I am bleeding. Has anyone every heard of this or have this problem?
