Checking your own cervix?

Has anyone else tried to check their own cervix? I just tried and everything seems so tight and swollen that idk what the hell I’m actually feeling.

I wanted to check myself but a bunch of people said not to because it can cause infection? I’m confused though because when people are ttc they check their own cervix’s all the time!

My cervix is extreeeemely soft idk about yours. It feels like the rest of the inside of my vagina, it’s that soft. When I check myself I go as far against the back side of my vagina that I can (underneath my cervix) and then I reach the spot where my cervix and vagina meet. Then I move my fingers from there and find my cervix hole. My cervix is super high, or I just have short fingers, so it’s a lil difficult but it’s not impossible. Then I go from there. I think I’m allllmost a 2, 1 finger is kinda loose but I can’t reach my other finger in lol. But I have an appt tomorrow so I’ll get checked then so I can confirm!!

Lmfao i’ve been thinking about this! But just a thought of putting my finger in there I feel like I wouldn’t be able to reach it because last time I got checked they said I am high and I am at a 3 1/2

Nope. I have no desire to check it. I know from my 39 week check up, I'm not dilated. I feel like between my nails and knowing this information, it would just be causing myself unnecessary lightening crotch.

Lol I have just so I could decline checks at my ob. I'm about a 1-2 I'd say . Maybe yours hasn't moved down yet
