Do you belch in front of your SO?

I’m exclusively dating someone new and starting a new relationship and my friend says that I should never belch in front of him. I found that a bit extreme. I work in healthcare and see it as a normal bodily function and it’s also something I’ve done in front of my past SO.

We burp in front of each other (beer burps) but always say excuse me. I guess it depends on like, what level of comfort you have with each other.

I will every now and then but it's not a recurrent thing. I once burped really loud (ya know the kind that makes room in your guts) and immediately let out my best Lil' John "Yeeeeaaaayah" when I finished. It's become a bit of an inside burp joke. DH belches way more than I ever do.
