My birthday was last week & he did call and wish me a happy birthday. But a lot has happened since then..I’m not sure if I should or not.

I just text happy birthday have a nice day. He is still my son's father, my son loves him just as much me and having a healthy relationship with his father will be the best I can do for him since we aren't together. Co parenting is hard, but the nicer you can be the better. Doesn't mean friendly as is flirty and sexy, just platonic friendliness. My son's father even still helps me. Couple weeks ago I was sick and he was dropping our son back off at my house after his night with him and he stopped and bought me a bunch of medicines and vitamins to get better quicker. A failed relationship doesn't mean we have to he mean to eachother. This isn't a normal breakup, I still have to see and interact with my ex, no need to make it worse than it already has to be
