Can I get genital herpes ??

So me and my boyfriend did the deed. Totally forgetting I had a cold sore that’s healing !! He made out with me and went down... he doesn’t have it on his lips but I do. Would it have to be direct contact or is there still the possibility because we made out and he went down on me right after. I regret it 😩😩😩 the stage I’m on is that it has a scab but no liquid ... idk if that helps
