My husband has been in the National guard for 8 years and was injured two years ago during an over sea training. He had surgery over a year ago and it’s not healed. He is more than likely going to be medically discharged which I know means he will get VA insurance but is it possible that the family can keep tri care? Anyone go through this? I know it varies for each situation but is it possible and how? He is still in so we have not started the VA process yet since he hopes to be able to continue to serve. He sees a different doctor here soon and it all depends on what this doctor says if it’s a fixable injury they will let him stay in if it’s permanent then he will be discharged.
