Baby eye boogers?

This morning my 6 week old woke up with some crusty stuff around her eye, but she could open it and the actual eye wasn’t red or anything. Now after a nap she has this in the corner, sorry not a great pic! Anyone have experience with this? Is it just normal eye discharge or could be something else?

This was pretty normal for my daughter. The tear ducts aren't completely formed yet. If it starts to get red or seems to be irritating baby, mention it to your pediatrician. My daughter's ducts drained until she was 4 months. I don't think it's a cause for concern unless they're still getting clogged ducts at a year old.

This happened to my baby. I put breastmilk on her eye and it went away 🤗😁💛 I still made an appointment with her Pediatric 👩🏻‍⚕️ she said everything was fine and that I did the right thing by putting breastmilk on her eye 😃
