I had the surgery and it was the best decision for me. Quick with minimal pain. The other two options can still lead to a d&c down the road. The OB warned me the natural and medication induced can be very traumatic and a LOT of bleeding.

D&C is the fastest and least painful but it can damage your cervix, it happened to me and now i have to have my cervix stitched to carry a baby full term

I was 8 weeks when I lost our baby. I chose the D&C. 1. Because my body wouldn't let the baby go. 2. Because I didn't want to flush my baby. And 3. Because emotionally and mentally I couldn't handle it.

I chose the medication route twice. My doctor swayed me away from D&C for that small because the D&C is more expensive and comes with more risks. The medication does hurt, but it only hurt for a few hours. My doctor gave me prescription pain medication to take with mine that I would recommend you ask for if you go that route. Advil and Tylenol were definitely not cutting it.

I've had 3 miscarriages at differant stages and chose the natural route. My last miscarriage happened later at 12 weeks so I took the oral medication and went home to miscarry naturally. I don't regret my decision at all. While the  D&C offers the ability to get it over with and be done, I couldn't get past the cost and risks.

I had a D&C at 10 weeks. 
The day of my surgery i actually woke up with bleeding. And by the time i was at the hospital for the procedure i was full blown miscarrying. With every cramp/contraction i could feel the blood coming and pieces of the amniotic sac coming out. Worst. Pain. Ever. And so traumatic for both me and my husband. (Emotionally) Seeing that much blood worried him. It was normal, my doctor and i weren’t concerned but he was so scared for me. 
After waking up from my surgery i felt normal. They gave me a “nerve block” shot in my uterus to help with the pain (they said it would wear off after 4 hours but i actually never had any uterus pain) and i had veryyyy mild cramping the next day and the bleeding stopped 7 days later. My husband and i can now try again for a baby. (My procedure was 2 weeks ago) 
I would choose D&C again, hands down. Yes, you can have complications, but my doctor said that there is an extremely low chance for this to ever effect future pregnancies. 
I was ready for closure, and i was ready to move on and this was the best route for that. I didn’t want to relive the pain of this for weeks and weeks afterwards.

I miscarried at 3 months in September, naturally and without medication.It was extremely painful and emotionally traumatic.Not to mention,a lengthy process.No decision is easy and I feel at least thankful that I was able to pass my baby in the comfort of my home.

I've had a natural miscarriage and a miscarriage with medication that ended up needing a d&c.
I would never choose medication because I had a terrible reaction and ended up going in full blown labor-like contractions for 56 hours straight. Ended up going to the hospital for medication and fluids.
That doesn't mean itll happen to you, but I've done all 3 and the d&c was by all means the least painful even though it was the one I was most scared of.

Currently going through a natural miscarriage. It's been almost 3 weeks of spotting and passing clots. If I could go back, I would choose something different.
