Is this blanket okay for a girl or boy ?

I started making when I found out I was pregnant it the only bulky yarn I had. I find out what my baby it Saturday. If I’m having a girl what do I do with this blanket (it’s not finished)

I would finish it. Does it really matter if on of their blankets is blue versus pink? Your baby isn't going to care as long as they are warm.

It’s fine! I think it’s silly to have gendered colors. My daughter prefers pink, but she has blue, green, purple, brown, black, ‘boy’ patterns, ‘girl’ patterns, princesses, Star Wars, etc. I mean, it just doesn’t matter to me. She chooses her own bedding, and unless we’re in a hurry or she has to have something weather-appropriate, she’s allowed to choose her own clothes. There’s nothing that really makes blue a boy’s color. I watched a video the other day on that history, and originally, pink was seen as more masculine!

Personally I dont understand why it matters if you have a boy or girl. Blue is just a color and I know that's a nice soft material. Like another person said, it's all the same to the baby. Dont read so much into the color

Would actually be cute if it ended up being a girl and you did a sorta periwinkle (mix between blue and purple) theme for them instead of pink! That way you could still use the blanket
