Ovulation test question.. update

Grace

So I have some questions:

I am 33. I have one son, 10 years old. He was conceived in 2 months after my husband returned home from tech school in the military. Very quickly, and without us even trying.

I downloaded this app a little over a year ago just to track my periods.  Last month my period was almost a week late, making my cycle almost 38 days. I've always had longer cycles, and I tend to bleed for longer as well, and this app has my average cycle as 31-32 days. Well since I exclusively use the rhythm method for birth control, by avoiding my significant other actually finishing inside when this app predicts I'm fertile. So when I was late, we were convinced I might be pregnant, though we weren't trying. Well when my period started, we both actually ended up disappointed and decided to start trying for a baby. I took a lot of tests too since my period wasnt coming and given that I was 6 weeks pregnant with my son when we found out and the line was BARELY there….so I figured it might take a while to show up this time as well. Anyway...

I bought the clear blue advance ovulation test to monitor my ovulation, especially given that I am over 30 now and much older than the last time i got pregnant.

I have followed the directions and started tested on day 11 of my cycle (2/7). I am now on day 18 of my cycle and I'm still not getting a high or peak reading… so I'm just getting nervous and anxious.  So I've been looking at my tests, which I dated, and I want some input…. To me it looks like the line is getting darker and thicker. Does anyone else see this? Also. .anyone have any experience of pregnancy happening without the high or peak reading? I believe my hormone levels may be naturally low (just one reason being my very faint line reading with my other pregnancy).

Any input or advice on all this?

Finally got a HIGH reading today!!!!!!
