My husband won’t allow me to get another dog. I’ve come to terms with that. It’s hard because I really want another one.

Anyway, instead I would really like to take some of my tax returns and go to my local shelter and pay for a couple animals adoption fees. I don’t want to just donate because I know a lot of time they take the money for the building. I want to help the shelter, but I really want this to go to a specific couple of dogs that I pick out. Is this a stupid idea?
